Mental health services for children and teens
ABOUT ME
I am a fully license mental health counselor in the state of Washington. I earned my Masters of Science in mental health counseling in 2019 from Fort Hays University in Kansas. Prior to that I earned a Bachelor of Science in social sciences with a minor in psychology and an Associate of Science in health sciences. For the past 3 years I have worked at Pathways MHS in Lacey. Having my own private practice has been a personal and professional goal of mine for years and I am very excited for this opportunity.

I have only lived in Olympia since 2018, but couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to be able to visit many amazing places. A few of my other favorite things are reading, being outdoors, and spending time with my kids.
My Approach To Therapy
My practice focuses on children and teens ages 5-19. I use an integrative therapeutic approach to meet the individual needs of each client. I also believe in offering treatment that works, which includes some of the leading evidenced-based practices including:
Play therapy (including Art therapy and sand tray) helps to build rapport, learn skills, helps with communication difficulties, and allows little minds a safe, creative place to process the things they are struggling with.
CBT is an approach that is based on understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The aim of CBT is to disrupt unhealthy thinking patterns and incorporate positive behavioral interventions.
ACT teaches us to lean into anxiety and stress instead of fighting it. ACT explores the connection between behaviors and desires to help make intentional movement towards goals.
